Girls Night In: I Am HER

Rooted Identity. Anchored Worth. Redeemed Confidence.

I felt it the moment I walked through the doors, the atmosphere was different. It wasn’t performance, it was presence. Atlanta showed up, but more importantly, God showed up.
This wasn’t your average women’s event. Girls Night In: I Am HER was a night created for us, for every woman who’s been showing up for everyone else and needed a safe space to finally exhale. Pajamas, laughter, worship, and sisterhood filled the room. The energy felt like exhaling after holding your breath for too long.

Because when women come together with open hearts, God always moves in a big way.

The Icebreaker That Broke Walls

Before the worship, before the laughter, there was a moment of real connection. We were asked to find 3–5 women we didn’t know and share what city we were from, what people love about us, what we’re praying for, and what made us smile that week.

It sounds simple, but it was powerful. I watched strangers become sisters. Walls of perfection crumbled, and authenticity took its rightful place. We remembered that community isn’t built on titles, it’s built on truth.

Defining H.E.R.

When the theme “I Am H.E.R.” was introduced, it wasn’t just an acronym, it was a revelation.
For me in my life currently, H.E.R. stands for Hopeful/Healed, Emerging/Expecting, and Restored.
For others, it meant H: Happy, Healthy E: Equipped, Empowered, Enlightened R: Revolutionary, Reborn

It was a declaration: I am not who I was. I am who God says I am.
We were redefining womanhood not by what broke us, but by what built us.

Worship as Warfare

The worship team ushered in joy and freedom through songs like Praise, Double Double (Blessings), and What a God. There was laughter. There were tears. There were hands lifted high and hearts laid bare.
It reminded me, praise isn’t passive. It’s powerful.

Every lyric became a lifeline for the worthy woman: “I am chosen. I am loved. I am enough.”

Lessons from the Panel: Worth That Can’t Be Negotiated

Pastor Shameka Daniels, her sister in love Stephanie, took the stage for a candid conversation and the room shifted. They didn’t just talk; they testified. They reminded us that our identity isn’t tied to titles or approval. Our value isn’t earned its inherent. And our worth isn’t conditional, it’s constant. I felt that deeply.

Pastor Shameka Daniels spoke about healing the heart, confronting comparison, and detaching identity from what others have told us to be. She reminded us to affirm our truth daily through these affirming statements:

“I am rooted in God’s truth, not the world’s labels.” and “When you know what your value is, you wear it differently.”

A Divine Alignment: IAEL x ChangeHer

As I listened to Pastor Shameka, I couldn’t help but smile. Her mission of helping women with both their spiritual and personal growth, mirrors my heart for Inspiring and Empowering Ladies.

She equips women to rise in identity, worth, and confidence. I do the same, but I also start with girls, nurturing the next generation before the world teaches them to shrink.

The alignment was undeniable. It was as if God whispered, “You’re in the right room.”
So, I’m declaring it now, next time, I won’t just attend Girls Night In. I’ll be a vendor. Because when purpose meets preparation, positioning follows.

“I Am HER Because I Am HIS” Pastor Manouchka Charles

Then came the reminder we all needed: “You are already loved. Already chosen. Already equipped.”
Pastor Manouchka spoke about being a Rahab being a Watchwoman who was prayerful, persistent, and positioned for purpose. She challenged us to use our spiritual weapons: prayer, fasting, praise, and the Word. And to declare and decree. “I am speaking over my home. I am speaking over my children. I am speaking over my business. I am speaking over my books.”

The After Party Was the Overflow

When I tell you Atlanta knows how to celebrate purpose, believe me. The after party was joy personified: food, line dancing, massages, makeup, and even vendors. And the Change Her pajama sets in cream, pink, and black represented well. From my outside perspective, it was the perfect blend of fun and faith, and it proved that healing doesn’t have to be heavy. We can be holy and have fun. We can be spiritual and still sparkle.

Affirmations to Close the Night

The event ended with call-and-response affirmations that made every woman in the room stand taller:

  • I am healed. My past doesn’t define me.

  • I am empowered. I walk in confidence and purpose.

  • I am resilient. I rise, I recover, I keep moving forward.

Those words became mirrors, reminding us of who we’ve always been.

Reflection Moment:

Sis, when was the last time you remembered who you are?
When was the last time you paused, breathed, and spoke kindly to your reflection?
You don’t have to wait for a women’s event to remember your worth.
You can start right here. Right now.

Because you are HER: Healed. Empowered. Resilient.
Rooted in identity. Anchored in worth.

And no one can redefine what God already designed.
