Begin Again: Why Girls and Women Are Returning to What Was Always Good for Them, And Reclaiming Their Worth in the Process

Do you remember a time when you stopped doing something that was good for you, emotionally, spiritually, or physically?

Maybe it was journaling.
Maybe it was resting.
Maybe it was praying without performing.
Maybe it was believing you were worthy of more.

You didn’t quit because it didn’t work.
You quit because you forgot that you were worth it.
But here’s the good news: It’s never too late to begin again.

The Cultural Pattern: From Worthy to Worthless

Somewhere between girlhood and adulthood, most of us stopped doing what made us feel whole, because the world told us it wasn’t productive, polished, or popular enough.

But what if the thing you laid down was the very thing that was leading you back to God?
Back to you?

In my letter to my 13-year-old self, I wrote this truth:

“You are not the names they called you. You are not what you didn’t receive. You are worthy—simply because you exist.”

That’s why I created books like Fearless & Flourishing and Worthy Woman, Wildly Winning, to remind every girl and woman that even when it feels like we’ve failed, we can still begin again.

Trend #1: The Return to Spiritual Practices

Barna research shows that Gen Z women are returning to faith, but on their own terms. They’re tired of performance-based spirituality and are craving quiet, personal connection with God.

The Compound Effect for Girls teaches how to rebuild those tiny, sacred habits, like morning prayer, reflection, and speaking affirmations that align with God’s Word. Because daily decisions create destiny.

Trend #2: Women Are Tired of "Strong Girl" Syndrome

According to the 2024 Women and Mental Health Index, 73% of women feel pressure to appear “strong” even when they’re struggling. That pressure leads to burnout, breakdown, and spiritual disconnect.

Worthy Woman, Wildly Winning was designed to give women permission to soften, surrender, and stop trying to earn what God has already declared: you are enough.

Trend #3: The Faith-to-Fruit Framework

We live in a world that measures everything. But most systems don’t measure soul growth. That’s where faith-led measurement comes in. When you pair God’s Word with reflective tools, emotional tracking, and heart-centered progress—you start to see tangible transformation.

Even when it looks like nothing’s changing, Jeremiah 32:27 reminds us:

Behold, I am the Lord… Is anything too hard for Me?
— Jeremiah 32:27

If you stopped doing something that was good for you, that brought you closer to peace, wholeness, and God—it’s time to pick it back up. Not because you’re behind. But because your breakthrough is waiting on the other side of your return. This time don’t just begin again, believe again. God’s not done. And neither are you.
